	Hi, this is Phil Martz and his brother, Dave. Thank you for visiting this site. Sierrabackpacker is dedicated to providing the Sierra Nevada Backpacker and Mountaineer with the essential tools to plan and organize a trip. We focus on your trip plan, your checklist, the key reference material, your permits, and the weather. And a few photos to keep all of us dreaming. We have been backpacking in the Sierras for over 30 years and have hiked an extensive number of spectacular and unforgettable miles both on and off trail. The exciting part of this is that there is still much to explore and re-explore. Under construction is an extensive database of Sierra Nevada pass, route, and place information that will enable full interactive development of Sierra Nevada trips.
